Developing a positive relationship with discomfort by putting yourself in its way daily will be helpful when life forces it upon you. Ways to do this are (but not limited to) running up hills, lifting heavy things, asking for what you want, talking to a stranger, wearing that thing you love but that’s a little crazy, and taking up a bit more space than you did yesterday. Etcetera.
Cringe is a symptom of progress.
People will always talk, so give them something to talk about.
It’s fun to get excited about things.
Pleasure is a priority.
If you like it, then it’s good. Period.
Friendship is the most important thing.
